The Masquerade of Loyalty

In a world where friendships shine so bright, Some shadows linger, out of plain sight. Friends who seem true, with smiles wide, Can turn their backs, let trust slide.

They laugh and share in the light of day, But in your absence, their words stray. Behind your back, their true selves show, Friendship’s facade, just for show.

With every whisper, loyalty cracks, The trust we built on shaky tracks. A lesson learned in painful strides, Not all are true, despite the tides.

Beware of those who change their tune, For true friends shine, both night and noon.
