The Write Stuff

FamilyPC Magazine

One writing site, Teen Ink, is sponsored by the Young Authors Foundation, a nonprofit organization that also produces books and a monthly magazine. The foundation fosters creative writing by publishing (in print and online) about 3,000 works annually submitted by kids ages 13 to 19. Three adult editors choose stories in a variety of categories, including fiction, poetry, and reviews. The result is a site full of thoughtful, high quality works written by teens for teens. A recent article includes an interview with former astronaut and senator John Glenn. Teen Ink also offers tips for young authors on revising and editing, writing poetry, and using correct punctuation.
