Richmond, VA: Most people refer to the University of Richmond as being in its own little bubble. Located in Virginia, the university has been voted one of the top 10 most beautiful schools in the United States. In the center of campus is a gorgeous lake with a wooden bridge and gazebo. Around the lake are beautiful red-brick buildings and lots of grass. Directly in front of the lake is the dining hall with long glass windows that give you a fantastic view. The dorms are roomy and comfortable.

The other great thing about Richmond is that not only does it have a beautiful campus, but it is a very competitive school academically, eager to challenge you every step of the way. Richmond's standards are high, but when assessing applications they don't look only at grades, but also at how well-rounded you are.

You will also find that although not a party school per se, students know how to have fun. The social life is outstanding and there are many parties on campus. If you ever find yourself wanting something else to do, right outside campus is an incredibly large strip of restaurants and hotels. If that still doesn't satisfy you, then you'll be happy to know that downtown Richmond is only 15 minutes away.

If you are looking for a school with a beautiful campus and good academics, that still knows how to have fun, look no further than the University of Richmond.
