By Erica B., Green Bay, WI

I can taste the radiance of the sun's rays beating down upon me,
and the flavor of the clear azure sky resonates in my mouth.

I hear the water shimmering,
and the grainy sand compress under my weary feet.

I see the sea gulls gawking,
and glimpse the aroma of foreign lands being ushered in by the breeze.

I can smell the slick and smooth green leaves of the palm trees,
shading the rough brown bark of its trunk.

I feel the many colors of the shells,
and try to reach out and touch the foggy horizon that can lead to places unimagined.
