An Excellent Online Resource

girl with books

What do cockroaches, Braille and airplanes have in common?

Well, nothing, except for the fact that these three topics, as well as hundreds more, are explored on HowStuffWorks.

Founded by North Carolina State University Professor Marshall Brain in 1998, HowStuffWorks has grown into a hefty online resource chock full of easy-to-understand information on a wide variety of topics. There, you can learn about how the sun works, how allergies work, or even how to drive more economically.

Did you know that cockroaches leave trails of fecal matter to find their way around (yuck), Braille was invented by a teenager (cool), and a 747 weighs up to 870,000 pounds at takeoff? Thanks to Professor Brain, we can all easily fill our brains with such facts and information.

Go and explore HowStuffWorks. ItŐll be well worth the cyber trip.
