By Keith D., Garrettsville, OH

Although I enjoyed the article “Gender Inequality in the Western World,” I do have a few disagreements with some of the points. It is my belief that if women wish to have equal rights, they should use their current rights to better their status.

As for the articles in the “glossy girl magazines,” women need to realize these articles are directed at them because women still buy them. If they want to take a stand, they need to take action by no longer purchasing these glamour magazines. Maybe our women’s rights activist could even step in and write an article or two themselves. Surely these suggestions would make more progress than constantly complaining about inequality.

I have always believed that a man is only as good as his ability to handle difficult decisions and if women want equal rights, they should prove they can handle decisions and consequences.
