By Jenna C., Wethersfield, CT

Even though this isn’t a true story,I can relate because my parents decided to get a divorce when I was infourth grade. All I knew about divorce was that one of my parents wouldmove away and I wouldn’t be able to see them as much. I wasdevastated when they told me, and really had no idea what wouldhappen.

It was difficult at the time, but I realized afterwardsthat my parents are happier without each other. Things worked out in theend and now I live at both houses and share my time with each. You haveto look at the divorce in a positive way and accept the fact that thingswill never go back to the way they were.

Editor’s Note: Au contraire,Jenna, this piece is true. Remember, nonfiction means it really happenedand fiction means the author made it up.
