I read "This is What They're Dealing With," about homosexuals being discriminated against. Daryl Frasch explained how difficult it is for them to be treated fairly in America, where the government does not recognize marriage between two people of the same sex, among other things.

This is a very sensitive subject that some people are probably scared to deal with for fear that they may offend someone. I, personally, agree with the fact that homosexuals are not treated fairly. In fact, I was shocked when I found out all the things they are denied. My sister, who has openly been a lesbian for over a year, has gotten a lot of attention, both negative and positive, because of her sexuality. She is still the same person to me, and I can't imagine disowning her because of who she is attracted to. I even find it a little ridiculous to think that people do that to their family members, but it happens.
