I am black so when I read the poem “Just a Color” by Olamide A., it hit me. It made me think, Why do I act so ghetto? Is it because I’m from Michigan, or because I’m black?

I loved this poem and could tell that Olamide has a lot of potential. I can relate to her poem because I’ve had people judge me because of my skin color.

Thank you for your magazine, and keep up the good work. Please continue to publish inspiring poems like this.
