Teen Ink Blogs

Distorted withfury,
The face looms nearer,
Eyes cloudy with hate,
Hands threatening tostrike.

A voice screams nearby,
A deafening sound,
The crash of achair,
A thud as I fall.

A pile of books
Thrown at myhead,
Carefully aimed,
Fly in slow motion.

I feel the sharpcorners
Dig into my face,
A trickle of blood slowly
Winds its waydown.

My hand travels up,
Caresses the bruise,
Traces theswelling,
Throbbing with pain.

Eyes close tight
To stop thetears,
Open wide
To face new fears.
