I'd have to say it's usually a simple task in a teenager's life. Just a bump in the road, right? So maybe you get butterflies the hour before, but then you take it, pass, and it's over. I only wish this had been the case for me.

Finally 16 and behind the wheel; Alone on the road it didn't seem real.
All I needed was a vehicle of my own, and when I found the right one I took out a loan.
"She's yours now, son, treat her good." That's what the man said as he tapped down the hood.

The Second Deer

As I take the final bow at my junior-class play, a sense of pride overwhelms me. My friends and classmates are all there to cheer me on and I've never felt closer to them.
