Have you ever had the feeling you did not get your money's worth? If not, you willafter seeing "Heist."

On the surface this movie seems to have itall: an all-star cast (Gene Hackman, Danny DeVito and Delroy Lindo); seeminglygood action scenes; and a few good one-liners. Too bad it's weighed down by ashallow plot.

The movie begins with Joe Moore (Hackman) and his team knocking off a jewelry store. The team gets the jewelry but the job is ruinedbecause Joe gets his face on a security camera. Joe is on the run and, withlittle money, must decide if he should do just one more job.

The plotturns out to be a mess. First, there is no real suspense because you do not knowabout any of the "jobs" until they have happened - there's no build-up.Second, the plot is very simple. There are no twists and turns; the movie followsa predictable path.

This movie is shallow and predictable, even though itdoes have a great cast. Overall, I give it a C-.
