Youth is ...
Falling in love with pizza for the first time.
It's sneakinginto the girls' bathroom
Then getting high-fives from all yourbuddies.
Youth is the taste of the soap
That your mom just shoved down yourthroat for saying a cuss word.
It's fidgeting through church
And yourparents telling you to knock it off.
It's staying out past sunset
And beingafraid of your mother's wrath when you return.
Youth is becoming asuperhero
After climbing into your "special" full-bodypajamas.
It's thinking McDonald's is a classy restaurant
And it's your momtaking you trick-or-treating.
Don't forget that it's boundless energy
Andit's transforming your couch into a race car,
And competing in the Indy500.
It's longing to drive a real car,
And it's longing to be older andgetting a job
... So you can fly in space
... And fight fires
... Arrestbad guys
All in the same day.
