We have time, limitless it may seem.
We have children, with endless hopes, and endless dreams.
These same children sit scared, asthey watch Mommy stick a needle in her arm.
And we stay oblivious, most aren'teven alarmed.
We have politicians, with plastic smiles and a one-way mirrorfor eyes.
Most just remain deaf to those cries.
Often times the sand seemsto run out too soon.
The human race screams, as we are branded inignorance.
We are a society starved of morality.
We have people, and moreand more people.
Where the important base of the day is, "What time isthe new Freddie Krueger sequel?"
More and more people.
Who sit backstale, and unyielding to the loud tongues of adversity.
We are stuck insideour own little plastic world.
Where we view violence, war, and death on our TVscreens,
And without taking another glance, turn it back to the white andgreen football team.
It seems our sand is running out much toosoon.
