With political elections just around the corner, a number of candidates have struck me as one word: Ugly! No, I don’t mean ugly as in body piercings, tattoos, or colorful mohawks. I mean ugly as in a disgrace to politics. Many candidates have spent formidable amounts of energy and money to insult their opponents instead of announcing and standing behind their own political plans. Politics has again turned into a bunch of middle-aged people walking around with the brains of five-year-olds. “You can’t trust him.” “He’s a Communist.” “He’s stupid.” This is what little kids say to each other. These are not campaigns. These are catfights. I don’t want to watch Puss-n-Boots attack someone. I want a respectable political race.
