By Barbara C., San Antonio, TX

Sitting on a welcoming sofa, listening to the tiny sparks from the fire float up the chimney, I launch myself into an extravagantly suspenseful book. I couldn’t help but sit there for seven hours straight to enjoy every page of Angels & Demons by Dan Brown, one of the most well-written books I have ever read. It left me wanting more as I learned about the astonishing end-game of the Illuminati, a secret group dating back to the Renaissance, who believed in the power of science over God.

I am a lover of mystery, history and suspense. Of the hundreds of books I have read in these genres, Angels & Demons is by far my favorite. It has the perfect mix of educational history, teeth-clenching suspense and unpredictable mystery.

I recommend this novel, as well its sequel The Da Vinci Code, to anyone who loves to involve themselves in an unpredictable world of adventure, secrecy and suspense.
