A Dream

By Felicity R., Sydney, Australia,

If someone handed you a dream
A bubble golden bright
You blew a little puff of air
It floated through the night
It drifted past the castle
Where all the people there
Smiled and found new hope that night
And vanquished their despair
If someone pricked that bubble
Stole your hope and dreamed desire
And locked it in a dungeon where
No light can fuel heart’s fire
Would you catapult the castle
With words of ice and flame
Or sit and sigh in some small chair
And call the world to blame?
