Bluepools of emotion shine from the magazine
Pulling Joe Nobody toward the page'sreflective sheen
He feels the waves lap against the edges of hisheart
Drowning out the elevator music's mind-controlling art
And a strangethought enters his mind ...
Dare I ...
Besmirch this heavenly goddess bybrushing my lips against these star-kissed pillows of red passion that havebecome the object of my worship and awe?
Dare I ...
Smooth away this icyfacade, leaving her to melt into the warm reassurance of my loving embrace, letting our souls meld into one pure spirit soaring over all which ismundane?
This moment has enveloped him in love
And he has forgotten wherehe was
As he reaches down to plant a kiss
Being sure to linger on herlips
Suddenly, reality comes down on him with a crash
And he starts towonder if waiting room love was rash
He furtively looks around as he puts downhis copy of Vogue
The red blooming on his face not that of a passionmode
Instead he feels embarrassment and sweat that isn't from humidity
Eventhe dental posters seem to be laughing at his stupidity
And a wise thoughtenters his mind ...
Maybe next time I'm in a dentist's waiting room,
Ishould just read Sports Illustrated.
