Somewhere inbetween acting and acting like I thought I should,
I lostmyself.
Pinned down under friends' interpretations,
And parents' emptyhopes,
I lost myself.
The inner core that at one time was"me"
Became hidden under borrowed traits and,
I lost myself.
Icaught their personalities like a disease,
Too quick to act, it spreadand
I lost myself.
I blame them half-heartedly knowing very well,
Theymight have accepted who I was,
If only I had too.
