Iam not beautiful,
physically.
I am fully aware of that.
But it is betterthis way
(to be
unbeautiful).
I suffer noinfatuations,
stares,
or fantasies stroking at some
distorted image ofme
in dark, locked rooms at night.
No,
I walkunseen,
anonymous,
almost floating
completely detached
from thevanities
that might otherwise
weigh me down.
I am smart in my brunettehair.
Green eyes are serious, deep, yes.
And the extra curves around mybelly
proof that I am substantial
I am not beautiful,
physically.
Iknow.
Still, I wonder if it is because I am ordinary,
or because I amnot.
