My 'hoodgrabs the hands
of Boston
and frightens the eyes of the
world
Itsshadow darkens the others
which stand behind it
some depend on it whenthey
need a little extra
others fall victim to it and lay
their heads onher breast
slowly fading.
The rest may think it's a bad
place tobe
but the 'hood helped my mother
raise me.
