She is quicksilver ...
a barometer...
trapped inside a glass tube in the meteorologist's study.
She cannothelp but make predictions.
Cassandra,
but too alone to even beignored.
The slightest trickle makes her jump.
The moist breeze shakesher.
She is helpless to resist
the damp wind, her Eurydice.
She isliquid
at room temperature.
