By Mark L., Glens Falls, NY

   Which war

was the worst.

Some might say,

it was the first.

But I must,

and will disagree.

It is the war

inside of me,

The war to choose

'tween right or wrong.

The decision might take me

my whole life long.

Come with me,

the wrong sides chide

I am the smoother

road to ride.

Then there's the right,

which tells me no.

I am the way

that you must go.

So I don't choose

up and down,

but it also has

its solid ground.

It is not always

the easiest way

because from that road

I sometimes stray.

It's not so bad

when I am in the right.

It's when in the wrong

I am filled with spite

so now I must choose

between the two.

It's the only

logical thing to do ...
