Teen Ink Blogs

By Brian H., Braintree, MA

   Snap - you're mine.

A moment stolen.

By a pickpocket.

A love in disguise,

masked by desire and doubt.

My prize - concealed in walls of black

One peek would ruin this untarnished

Piece of time -

puzzle of my life.

Again, I hold you.

You aren't real.

Your eyes, your smile:

A hazy shade of Kodachrome.

"everything looks better in"

Black and white - the letters

Secure our mutual desire.

Oceans away - Sail on Silver Girl

I still hold you in my hand.

If you love someone, set them

Upon my bedside table,

this reminder lies frozen.

this bandage -

the only way to quell my bleeding heart
