A Typical Day For Norman

Teen Ink Blogs

By Ruairi P., Baldwinsville, NY

   Missed the bus again

always seem to be late

Never find what I'm looking for

only God knows my fate

Having a hard time in school

trying to fit in

All these new rules

feels like I can't win

Stuck here at home

parents fighting

that is why I am here

once again writing

Maybe I'll write an adventure

no I like mystery

maybe travel through time

and rewrite history

Making a daring rescue

or a narrow escape

I could heal the world's wounds

with this little piece of masking tape

I could be the hero

or the villain

and maybe stop all the evil

and the horrible killing

I could imagine a world without pain

and experience only pleasure

I could explore the whole world

in search of buried treasure

I could journey into space

or sail the ocean

I could turn into a giant beast

by drinking this magic potion

I could do anything

see anything

be anything

go anywhere

all with my mind and my pen

and hope to do it all over again

Norman, wake up you're going to miss the bus.
