   Audacity

The moonlight gleamed from the
     monster's teeth.
I confronted it with utmost
     fear.
But then I realized what the
     problem was.
I stood up and shouted aloud,
     "I fear you not.
Be gone with you, you silly
     sot!"

     It swallowed me whole ...

The moral of this story, the
     theme within this prose:
      (Concerning your mouth)
Know when it should be open,
and when to keep it closed.

by S. C., Derby, CT
