By Katie H., Concord, MA

When you need a very true friend, Nobody is always there,

When Nobody understands, Nobody always cares,

When you cry out in vain for help,

Nobody is always there,

When you feel like killing yourself, stabbing yourself,

hurting yourself,

Nobody is there.

When pain is rushing to your head,

When tears are streaming down your face, you know that

Nobody notices, Nobody listens, Nobody cares.

When you feel all alone to face the world stressed-out

like dead bones,

Think again, remember this poem, for when that happens,

Nobody is there, and Nobody always cares.

Nobody is my best friend, I know that Nobody notices,

Nobody listens, Nobody cares, and Nobody is always there.

Nobody is me.
