Foolish Heart

Teen Ink Blogs

By Christine F., Melrose, MA

Sometimes I sit and wonder why,

Everyone who goes walking by,

Takes a slice of my heart, which leaves me none,

To call my own when day is done.

To fall in love at the wink of an eye,

To make a pledge that stands the test of time.

Is sounding right, but when it's true,

It takes your heart and runs it through.
