By Mark S., Amherst, MA

The plane had just landed at the airport.

As it taxied to the gate, I couldn't help but wonder,

"Has she changed?"

"I hope she's the same."

She was the first girl I ever loved,

The one closest to my heart.

I got my things from the overhead storage,

And moved onto the ramp.

When I got into the waiting area, I saw her.

As beautiful and radiant as ever.

My father & brothers were with her, as I'd asked them to be.

I walked over to the group and said, "Hi, Mom!"
