I stop



eyes wander to the plugs,

bright red light

hiding underneath the



PRECIOUS BUTTON.



My fingers hurt

numb from tapping, tapping, arched over keys.



My brain hurts;

exercise is unusual.

Meaningless assignment,

crazy syntax.



A Logical Solution

seeps from my head:



YANK IT!!



Work, work, work,

words, words, words,

stored and forgotten.

Who will mind if I erase it?



Pale grey flesh

attacks black rubber cord,
