If You Could Meet A Color

Teen Ink Blogs

By Erin V., Shrewsbury, MA

   The new world is entered;

the first glimpse of the wondrous blue sky...

Startlingly clear, or dark and stormy; varying in its shades

and intensity;

Spacious and discomforting, repressing or heartening;

the color remains embedded in the mind.

A luminous smile dawns in the newborn baby's eyes;

The baby bird chirps loudly as it waits impatiently for its mommy's return;

The tiny kitten steps hesitantly out from under the porch where its warm

safe home has been.

Separately:

at the same time together:

the new world is entered.
