Teen Ink Blogs

By Tracy M., Abington, MA

   To wake up so early

Tired from fun.

To party till the wee hours

And rise with the sun.

My weekend is over

I must now go to school.

An extension would be great,

Staying home would be cool.

So I crawled to my mom

In my nice warm jammies.

I told her my head was hot

And my hands were clammy.

She gave me an aspirin

Saying I was quite ill.

So I threw in the bit

Of a bellyache and a chill.

I ran back to my room

Knowing I had won

And I slept and slept

Until quarter to one.

So, for all of you guys

Doing work that boggles your head.

Remember me,

I'll be in bed. . .
