Teen Ink Blogs

By Matthew F., Canton, MA

   Freewheelin', gut feelin', can't get a job;

Riches ditch the beggars when you're lookin' like a slob.

Break your back, can't relax, kids have gotta eat;

Trampin' through the camper trash lookin' for some meat.

Abandoned by your husband, need a place to stay;

Steal for cash before you crash, suffer through the day.

Dreams to be a dancer, needs an easy answer;

Dealin' drugs for the thugs , quick cash enhancer.

Room and board drug lord, made it to the top;

Saved her babies from the eighties, now she can't stop.

Addicted and convicted, now a victim on crack;

Babies in a foster home, can't get Aem back.

Five to ten in the pen, whatcha gonna do?

Just another family from the crime ghetto zoo.
