If I Grow Old

Teen Ink Blogs

By Richard G., Randolph, MA

If I grow old, to 104,

And lose my hair and legs in war,

I'd know not what to think of life,

But perhaps if maybe I had a wife,

She could put things straight to me,

Lead me around and let me see

Earth's great wonders and delights-

The sun's mauve days and the moon's taupe nights.
