Teen Ink Blogs

By Mark R., Natick, MA

   Oh, you moth that sits on the wall,

complacent and impervious to foolish trends,

if wisdom is attained by solidity

you have surpassed the wisemen;

you are a master.

Yet you follow the light,

are led on by its call.

This is because you are solid and firm

but not because of conscious thoughts,

but because of nature's ways

which makes you

all the more superior.
