The Garden Of Life

Teen Ink Blogs

By Jessica K., Weymouth, MA

   She looks at

Him

with Confusion in her

stained glass eyes

and cries

the dandelions are gone

you said they

could not

die

His laugh,

razor blade,

She bleeds

on his new

white carpet

as

purple tears of bitter

betrayal

run down her

porcelain face

life has no

guarantees

He sings

you knew that

when you

bought the seeds

your flowers

were weeds

you knew that

when you

planted them

you just

pretended

they were

roses
