Winter in Alaska

The first of the year
It isnear.
Is there cheer?
No, it is more like fear.
It's winter inAlaska.

Pipes frozen
Boilers dozin'
Parkas are chosen
Schools areclosin'.
It's winter in Alaska.

Is it really all grim
When the skyis dim
The sun hides like a dirty sin
And cabin fever sets in
Winter inAlaska?

No and again no
There is always a mushing show
A snowmobiletrip to go
Fireworks to make glow
Winter in Alaska.

So look for thetime that snow flies
When the flower and the garden dies
Don't believe theuneducated lies
Even we can have a good time without bored sighs
In winter
