What happened to my dad?  He was always there for me, but now he just doesn’t care anymore.  He doesn’t talk to me, he doesn’t look at me, and he doesn’t even drive me to school.  When I manage to actually get his attention, whether it’s when I broke my leg or nearly drowned in a lake, all I see is him feeling disappointment and pity for his once loved son.  I used to be everything to him, ever since mom died.  Now, I’m not sure if I even matter to anyone anymore.  I gave up trying to get noticed and now I focus on staying out of people’s way, from now till the end of my meaningless and fatherless existence.
