Killing her,

She bursts into the room, startling me a little. The tears in her eyes told me something was wrong. I noticed the wrinkled, white paper in her hands that she was clutching onto with all the strength she had. Standing, I slowly start to speak.
“Kailey, what’s wrong?” I walk up to her, quietly looking her in the eye.
Her cold, small hands quickly wrap around my neck, and her body unleashes into harsh sobs. I’m starting to get scared; I’ve never seen her cry like this. After a while of standing like this, she pulls away from me.
“Don’t hate me, please don’t hate me.” Kailey shakes her head back and forth, pleading with me.
Confused, I wait a minute before speaking. “Why… why would I ever hate you?”
She takes a step back from me, handing me the white paper. I feel like I’m holding a bomb. I have no clue what I’m about to shove into. My hands are trembling as I unfold the page. I slowly lift my eyes to the top of the page, forcing myself to read the little writing.
“Kailey,” I start. “This isn’t real, is it? This isn’t happening.”
She pulls up her head from her hands, revealing her perfect blue eyes, clearly scared of my reaction.
“No, it’s real. Last week I got really trashed at Tanners party, and, well, I don’t really remember much of that night, but…” She trails off.
My hearts in my throat right now, pounding hard and loud. This isn’t fair, I think. Why would she do this to me? No, this isn’t happening. It’s all a dream.
“But what, Kailey?” I demand.
“Nothing, but nothing. There’s nothing to explain, Tyler. I got trashed. I got knocked up. End of story.” She chokes out.
But it isn’t nothing, it’s not the end of the story. I’m not done.
“So you’re telling me, that being pregnant with another guys baby is nothing?! Kailey, this is real. It’s happening. You can’t deny it or hide from it. It’s not okay!” I scream at her.
She frowns. “I didn’t do it on purpose, Ty. I didn’t mean to, you know, do it.”
“Who was it? Is he going to be there for you? Is this baby going to have a freaking dad or not?”
She looks up, startled by the questions. “I uh, thought, uh. You, you’re going to be there for me, right? You could be the dad, I mean, not the real one, but practically the real one.”
She forces herself to smile, revealing her perfect little dimples. Noticing this makes me sick to my stomach. I look away, only to find my eyes trail back to her.
“Who was it?” I ask again.
“Jeremy.” She says hard with her teeth practically grinding.
“Jeremy?! The Jeremy I’ve known since I was seven? My best friend, Jeremy? What the hell, Kailey? Why him? Why now? How could you? This is just sick. No, I can’t do this. I can’t deal with this. I thought you were better than this. Just go. Leave.” I say, practically whispering.
Her beautiful blue eyes turn to a cold grey, like a stone. I can see it in her face, in her body. She’s so hurt. So broken. I know when she walks out of that door she’ll probably do something crazy. But right now I don’t even care.
“No, no no no. I’m sorry, don’t you get that? I didn’t mean to. It was his idea, honest. Please, don’t do this. Please, Tyler, please.” She begs me, with a sort of whimper in her voice.
I walk past her, open the door, and motion for her to get out. She lets out a small cry, fighting back tears, and walks out of my room. I don’t know what I just did, but I think I just killed her.

I really like the voice you gave the boy, Tyler. And i especially like the way you ended it, I thought he was going to be forgiving.. Nice job!
