It was dark outside the window as the young boy starred out the window. It was just beginning to drizzle; he was now 8 years old and that much closer to his goal. Today was his birthday and it had been two months since his sister’s disappearance but he would find her all the same. Then she would be out of the picture and out of his way, and Kei, she would be his. Even if she was repulsed with the idea now she would grow on the thought. He needed to be planning for the future, his conquest of earth needed to be well thought out. But his sister needed to be dead first, some might not approve but it was necessary. Without her gone nothing could go as planned, for even now she was soft. Then again most babies are, they don’t posses rational thought like he did. He was still glaring out the window when a tall man entered the room. “my lord,” he said interrupting the boy’s thoughts, “My lord we’ve found Kei, the other wolves have turned on her as well…”
“Of course,” the boy replied contemplating whether ‘lord’ was a proper term, “I cast a spell making them loyal to you, if she has no support she will give up.” The man continued utterly bewildered, “My lord do you believe it is wise to disobey the gods in that subject. Don’t get me wrong; I do believe she is a weak, pathetic, insolent…” “Death,” the boy interrupted bringing the captain back to reality and turning to actually engage in the conversation. “yes, yes,” Death continued, “the prisoner wishes to have a word with you. Under most circumstances I would deny her but seeing as she is your mother…”
“Yes I suppose I should speak with her,” the boy nodded and left. His captain had always been loyal; since he was young the man had said he was full of potential. The boy smiled at the fact that the captain didn’t yet know that he wouldn’t be able to turn against his king. As he approached the dungeon he wiped the smile from his face. His mother was waiting at the door of the cell. “Drake you are to let me out of this cell immediately!” she demanded, “How could you betray your sister this way?”
He had nothing to say to her if this was the only thing she would discus she was no use to him. He walked away and was soon joined by his favorite puppet, Alexandra. She was lovely even for a demon, “what’s troubling you, my lord,” she asked stroking his face. “I have a problem I need dealing with,” Drake replied continuing to walk. “who do you need me to kill this time?” she asked with the kind of blood lust he admired.
“please see to our dear prisoner,” he replied with a smile as she nodded walking away. There would be no need to hide his mother any more, the people would know that his power was complete. He might not even need to dispose of his sister. No, he would have to if Kei did not bring her to him, he would have to find her himself. This would mean assigning Alexandra to something…
