It was coming upon night time, and the sky was a dark blue with the stars twinkling above the big city. There were still many people out walking around the famous place, the statue of liberty lit up with lights and the subway sounds drifting up from the station below ground. John Spitnock, my first subject, was watching t.v. in his living room. I sat on his apartment balcony watching silently through the window. The good thing about having special skills is that I don't neccessarily have to hide. I am good at hiding, but when it comes to being invisible, hiding isn't really necessary.
"HE is supposed to be saught by us? This is a stupid idea. I can't believe that HE is the one LP wants." I thought to myself. "If you are so unsure that I am not suited for the job, why did you come?" John asked. "Okay, that's weird. I sware he just heard me." I thought to myself. "I can. I'm not stupid you know." I could here his voice, but I didn't see his lips move. I watched jack stand up and walk over to the window and lift it up. We were face to face, he was standing inside, and I was outside. "John Spitnock. I never would have noticed with the last name." I thought jokingly. He laughed at my joke. "Yeah, I get that a lot. Are you coming in Corrie?" he asked me. "Sure." I said outlide. It almost looked as if he were surprised I had actually said something.
I walked through the wall of his apartment as he backed up. I slowly let myself become visible. "Birthdate?" I asked as I brought out a clipboard from behind my back looking at his information. "September 24th, 1995." he responded. "I held up my pointer finger as I attached a clip to my jacket. "This is a pin I have that protects me from you reading my thoughts. ID number?" I asked. He reported a number almost simultaneously. "So when do we start?" he asked."Skill?" I asked ignoring his question. "It's pretty obvious, don't you think?" John started walking towards the kitchen, and reaching into the fridge. "Skill." I said again. "Mind Reading and Speaking." John grabbed two drinks from out of the fridge and offered one to me. I kept writing on my clipboard, but let my mind wrap itself around the can of soda and bring it to me. I looked up to see Josh's face covered in surprise. "You didn't think you were the only one, did you?" I asked him as the can opened and a packet came out of my purse. I got back to writing on my clipboard and the packet poured itself into the can. "What is that?" John asked me in confusion. "Just a mix to absorb all poisons and chemical accidents that causes them to become one big palet and stick itself to the bottom of the can so I don't drink it. I never leave the house without it." I said, the packet throwing itself into the sink and catching fire. "Let's go." I said as I stepped back out onto the balcony again, and John opened the door. "Can't you just use the door?" he asked me. "I don't want to. So it doens't matter. Deal with it."
