Soon enough, I knew I had made a stupid decision. Then again, I’m known to make the dumbest choices despite being deadly smart. Breaking into locked doors in dangerous places seems to be my defining quality. Through the half open door I saw what looked like a rundown looking sitting room. A high backed chair sat facing the fireplace. Next to it stood a woman. Short, professional, complete with an angry crease across her forehead. And oddly familiar. Her voice rang sharp and demanding. “Did you hear something?” that voice… realization slid through my body like I was swallowing an ice cube. Elese stood beside that ratty looking armchair. The woman I hated. The woman who had made several attempts on my life. My enemy.
