If your old enough to have a s.ex drive your old enough to have s.ex, just better education.
How drugs should be explained:
kids, drugs are things that are used by people to live fuller lives, thats okay, what is bad is using them allot and becoming dependant on them.
if you taught kids the truth about them you wouldn't have kids trying all kinds of crazy s.hit and instead you'd have them using them responsably.
"drugs are things that are used by people to live fuller lives..." Tell that to my aunt, who's addicted to pain killers because of her severe depression. What a load of [expletive].

And you don't think having a little fun with drugs will lead to addiction, do you? Drugs are made to be addictive; that's so dealers can sell you more and make more money.
You know why, because their illegal, I have to go through six people to get weed or grow it myself, I can't buy it from a store, so people who sell bad drugs are insulated from the public.
besides, its not your right to decide what risks others can take
I agree, who the he.ll does the government think they are, telling kids they can't have se.x. If you're not stupid about it and you use your head, there is almost no risk of getting preg.nant, or an std. And as for drugs, they should all be legal, because it makes no sense whatsoever to prevent people from using drugs. Drugs are fun and fulfilling, as long as you don't become addicted and its easier then people think to not become addicted. Just don't use an addictive substance to much. I used to be a her.oin addict, and now I can use her.oin once every few months to have fun, and I don't have any cravings or withdrawal. It's possible.
human6: Agreed there is a need for better education on drugs. However it should be unbiased. Not 'to lead fuller lives' but 'because they want to' so that kids have the oppertunity to make up their own minds. Not be indocrianted, they have a tough enough time avoiding that without adding yet another form of 'education'. As someone who lives in a realy 'druggy' area, i'm constently irritated by other people's 'risks'. Fine, take 'risks' in your own home, where others can't smell, hear or see you. On the streets, in stores? No
I agree entirely. The government has no right to tell us we can't use drugs. Feel free to have all the fun you want with drugs, it's easy to not get addicted. As long as you don't constantly use an addictive substance, you won't become addicted. I used to be a her.oin addict, and I can still use hero.in every so often without falling back into addiction. The drugs don't control your mind like everyone thinks. No matter how high a person is, its still them in there.
Age of consent laws aren't there to prevent kids from having se.x (at least, not anymore). They're there to prevent kids from having se.x WITH ADULTS, which is almost always ra.pe-by-another-name.
Yes but a 13 year old isn't a kid, a 9 year old is a kid
The power differential between a thirteen-year-old and a thirty-year-old is too high. He.ll, the power differential between a thirteen-year-old and a sixteen-year-old might be too high. Too many things would have to change for this to be a good idea, and it would be disastrous to lower the age of consent this drastically without a cultural change empowering 13-year-olds. And good luck with that.
ooze: actually I agree, we need a culture shift, first a legal one second, first would be lowering the power of parents.
