Hey, there. I'm really sorry it took me so long to reply, but here it is:

You could be right about carbon dating, but you could also be wrong. Truthfully, carbon dating isn't something I know a lot about, so I can't come to the true conclusion with so little knowledge. Why don't we agree to disagree on this one topic?

And thanks for recommending a book. I'll see if I can find it.

There is actually quite a lot of proof in favour of the Old Testament of the Bible (including Exodus) being true. For example, there are many old copies all with the same story. It has never changed or evolved. So I believe it is possible.

And I can kind of see what you mean about people using religion to belong. Some people do that, and I admit it, religion gives me a sense of belonging, but it is not the reason I believe in God. And if people are becoming more evolved, than why does it seem like people are unevolving? If we did come from monkies and there was never a God, than why didn't people put trust in themselves from the beginning?

My favourite example is marriage. You only have to look back a couple of centuries to see stronger and longer marriages. Who came up with marriage in the first place, if it wasn't God? Why did we evolve to a state of two people becoming one, just to abandon it? We act more like apes now than before.

In some ways, I'm against homo s e x uality. I would never treat someone who is that way differently, but I also don't agree that God created people to be like that. In the garden of Eden, God created woman for man, and I think that should be the way it is. I don't know if people are born that way or not, but who am I to judge them anyway?

And, hey, you're really lucky that you have such nice weather in Saskatchewan. Here it snowed again this week! Aaaah! It melted, though. :)

well i grew up jewish, but i have lost faith and no longer belive in god. i am still very connected to the jewish religion, and i belive and follow alot of the same belifes as before, just not in god.  i donot really like to get into disscusions about my religion or what i belive becouse i dont want to get into a fight and have to defend my belifes, but it is nice that you offer up a civil convo and you dont want to fight. its very noble of you, and i appriciate it! :)

Don't know if this thread is still active, but if it is, it looks incredibly interesting.

I am Jewish, but I'm not sure if I believe in G-d or not. I feel like whether or not I believe in G-d, Judaism has given me a great community, and also a rich culture that I strongly identify with. I'm very active at my temple. I enjoy being Jewish more for the traditions and history it has given me than the actual religious aspect.
