Tell me about it! Yeah, I have to agree with you there. The rest got repetitive. She's amazing! :D And I think that one thing is enough to put him up on top - still rooting for Dudley all the way! I guess we can always pull the, "I brought you into this world, I can take you out" card. That tends to shut him up. ;)

Let's see... Izzie, Damian, and Carson would shut up and cooperate, but Kat, Nile, and Lissa would put up a fight. I'd have to get creative with them. :D

He generally relaxes during anything masculine/painful/hardcore, but this specific time it was because he's tired of people judging him as somebody who self-harms, when he prides himself on the fact that he has never done that despite everything he's been through (the torture left him with scars that look like he did them). His mom made fun of him for it so he decided to cover it up once and for all.

Thanks :) They're mostly Celtic-style swirls and stuff, for several reasons - one, they aren't very unique, so they can't be used to ID him as easily, two, they don't have any meaning which reminds the readers that they're covering features rather than being features themselves, and lastly because I think they look really cool. xD Then he has "Semper Fi" on his right wrist as a tribute to Ian.  He also has a Tribal-style bull-like animal on his left forearm, for several reasons; his gang name was "Rampage" and his anger has hurt people so he wants to remind himself of what not to be, but also the ox is his symbol in the group of friends because he's strong and stoic, so it reminds him that he has a good side that can shine as well. Besides, the other two got their animals tattooed on as well so it fits.

Really cool! I love the amount of thought you used to do this! I especially love "Semper Fi" and the bull!

 

Damian has a tattoo of sorts on the back of his left shoulder. It's actually a colored branding by a daemon clan, marking him as sort of a half-blood. Kat also has a branding, but it's certainly not colored. It's a burn from Alra Vraymer (bad buy) who marks her with the symbol of "Catalyst," basically a terrorist group, to turn everyone against her. "Catalyst" is also the group that killed Kat's parents, so she has taken to knifing shallow cuts into her shoulder so that the burn is unrecognizable.

Aw that's sad but soooooo good! Love it!!!!!!

 

Bella has a lot of scars from the torture, as well as a warhorse (her symbol, because horses are free and loving and beautiful, but can be transformed into warhorses which are also fearless, brave, and almost unnattural) tattood onto her arm. She has Semper Fi on her ankle, and a scar that runs through her left eye, as well as stretch marks from getting healthy after starving.  But the most noticable and famous is the massive scar that wraps around her neck, a constant reminder of when she tried to hang.

 

As for Piper, she has the scars from the torture of course, but lots of them are deepened by self harm.  She has stretch marks as well, but her famous ones are the words "traitorous coward" that Ulrik carved the long way down her whole thigh. Under those words she gets "Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of Death, I shall fear no evil". She also has a massive tiger tattoo that takes up her whole back - her animal - and Semper Fi on her collarbone.

Aw, that's sad too, but it shows lots of history, and it's really tragically brilliant!

Piper's hits me even harder, maybe because she lost Ian and because she's pretty much my favorite right now! ;) Really, really impressive!

She sure is a complex character, and I can tell that she's probably going to be the love/hate character. People will either love her like I do, or hate her guts. But for those people, I'm sure they will see her relevance to the story. :)

I think you're right - she's too powerful to not have strong feelings about her. I know you love her, and I do too, but I have two friends that hate her. Very amusing. :)

It is kinda. :) My love-hate chick will probably be Lissa. She's keeping quite a few secrets, even from the man she loves. I'm pretty sure people will either see her as "the misunderstood, misled" character or, "The traitorous b****"

Awkwardly enough, I just ditched the friend Piper is modeled after. But still, I love her as a character. Ah, that sounds like a good love-hate chick. :D Dudley is my lying secretive one, but he has such good reasons and is so awesome in so many other ways, it kind of gets overpowered.
