I would recommend a book called Black by Ted Dekker. That is just the first one in a series of four. There are Black, White, Red and the newest one Green. I am Starting Black.

You want a unique book? Then I highly recommend "Flowers for Algernon". It's about Charlie, a person with a low I.Q, and he gets surgery that raises it. It's really easy to read, and it's one of my personal favorites :)
