Lilit swiveled around, breathing in the night air. "Abnormal amount of disasters," she said softly. Yep, that would sure explain it. There was something, a feeling in the air, that Lilit couldn't quite place. It felt like a warning, soft and insistent, like a buzz in her ears.
She brushed it away and held on to the soldiness that she felt here, now, with Melanie. She was part of something larger than she could imagine, something told her. Lilit bit her cheek to keep from laughing. The somewhat knowledge that she now held was completely and utterly splendiferous. There was a vast amount of learning to be had, but Lilit's imagination supplied her with all sorts of ways that shadows could be used.
"Hm." she said thoughtfully. "Melanie, have you given thought about how we're going to do-" she struggled for a single word to encompass all that needed to happen in the future. Instead, she just swept her arms to cover the entire horizon, "-this saving the world stuff?"
((bumpedy bump bump. Dark, I think nothing's really changed concerning you, but Melanie and Lilit are probably going to go searching now.))
Melanie glanced at Lilit wondering why the girl seemed to have a knack for asking the questions she had no answer to. She wasn't sure what she was planning to do but it all involved getting everyone there in the first place. She pursed her lips and looked around wondering what she was going to do.
"I've given it plenty of thought. Just haven't come up with any ideas as of yet. Maybe something will come to me in the heat of the moment, it always seems to be that way." she murmured the last part more for her own benefit than anything else.
Lilit dropped her arm disappointedly. She was all for storming into adventure and all, but it was always nice to have a plan. And a plan B, accompanied by maybe a plan C, D, and E. "Oh," she said, wrinkling her nose. "I have a great step one, though. How about we locate our comrades who are so imperitive in this saving the world business?"

"All right sounds good to me." she said distractedly as she tried to push away the vision that was already blurring her vision to the world she was currently in.
She didn't have time to have another vision and she couldn't risk the total disconnection from her surroundings. Especially not with Lilit with her. If she had been alone then the vision might have been welcomed because they usually meant some hint as to what she needed to do. She looked up at Lilit through the haze over her vision.
"You...lead the way...I'll follow." she said a slight pause between her words as she concentrated on keeping herself in the present.
She had seen the disapointment in Lilit's eyes. Once Lilit started having visions Melanie was sure she would understand that there wasn't really a need to worry about many things in the future. She had no doubt now that Lilit was strong enough to be able to see visions.
((Yup for a little bit today :) I'll be on more during the week but the weekend will be iffy, but I'm back for a while now:))

Lilit frowned, noting the change in Melanie's voice. "Allrighty then." she said. She spun around on her heels, and picked a viable looking direction. "Thataway it is, then," she muttered, shooting cautious glances at Melanie through her curls. The girl looked really...out of it. She picked her way forward, the rising dawn tinging the sky. ((wait, does anyone know what time it is? XD)) Lilit realized with a sudden rush of exhaustion that she hadn't slept in forever. She hadn't had the time at Melanie's house, and all at the hospital she was wide awake.
Melanie sat down on the grass unable to walk any further as she gave into the vision. Her eyes turned completely black and she twisted her hands into the grass like she was attempting to anchor herself to the present. The shadows seemed to disappear from around her and for the first time she looked like she had when she was younger. If she had ever had black eyes. Without the shadows pressing around her she looked kind of innocent and vulerable.
"No, that's all wrong," she murmured at something only she could see, "how is that possible?" her voice held a certain amount of frustration as her hands twisted the grass feverishly.
She blinked but stared straight ahead still. She noticed the sun coming up and she sighed wondering how exaughsted Lilit must be. She looked over at Lilit her lips pursed and her eyes guarded. The shadows hadn't come back to her yet and she looked like someone who hadn't been changed by the wars.
"We should probably get going." she said not revealing anything about her vision. She figured that it would all be revealed in time.
Lilit was aware enough to know that something was not right. Her droopy eyes perked up as she sniffed out something unusual to question. "What's wrong? Are you having an adumbration! What's not possible?" She regarded Melanie warily. She looked...different. Younger, and more innocent. With a start, Lilit realized that Melanie couldn't be much older than she was. The entire while, her bearing and the darkness around her suggested that she was someone much...older.
She stopped in place and refused to move on. "Melanie, are you not telling me everything?" she tilted her head to the side quizzically.

Melanie watched Lilit her amethyst eyes appraising. She didn't really want to share the vision she had just experienced. She wasn't sure how it would make Lilit feel about everything. The forest, the memories that were meant to scare you into turning around or scarring enough for you to go crazy and not be able to think straight. It was another test, only this test would change all of them to some degree or at least she believed it might.
“Yes I was having, an adumbration.” she shook her head slightly rolling her eyes at the word, flash or vision was so much easier to say. She slightly admired Lilit's vocabulary though it was pretty extensive for a fourteen year old. She certainly hadn't known all those words at that age. It hadn't been so long ago now that she though about it. It seemed forever ago though.
“Don't worry about it. I'll make sure you're ready for it before we get there.” she said cryptically wishing that Smoke wasn't so interfering. She was already doing the best she could and he thought he would test her once again. She was beginning to hate him with every passing day.
((It's alright, it happened to me too, and then I remembered how much I really liked this RP. We should get Aeliss and Winged back on ^^))
Lilit expelled a huff of air through her nose, disappointed. She had wished that Melanie would tell her, share in some responsibility. It was usually like this. No matter how large her vocabulary, no matter how intelligent she acted, she was still a child to others, and thus still treated like one.
"But what if I'm ready for it now? It's just information, it's not going to kill me. And besides, isn't it more detrimental to be ignorant?" Lilit felt a little low for using her bond between Melanie and her for her own needs, but it was still true, she reasoned. Harm does come from ignorance.

Melanie almost stumbled back a step, at the reminder of their lives being tied together. Good thing for Lilit it wasn't the other way around, her shoulder was enough proof that Lilit wouldn't have made it through the day.
"It's an interference with something I had planned, a test for shadow speakers. It was put up there by Smoke, he's a representative for one of the other worlds. He's becoming a pain, and it will only affect shadow speakers. It's meant to try and make you go crazy with pain, from memories. If you survive then you are stronger for it. If you succumb then you die. There is nothing I can do to help protect you from it. I can only train you until you're strong enough to face your past." she said quietly, looking Lilit in the eyes. It was probably a bit much to put it all out there like that and to do it so blatantly but she felt like she had no other choice. She wasn't a stroy teller after all. She simply said what had to be said.
