"I never realised it was so difficult. I can almost forgive them their homicidal mood swings," Declan chuckled. "I do hope Charlie isn't finding things as depressing, if he's also immortal."
"Let's just hope he's not a vampire..." Victoria mumbled. "Honestly, right now, that's probably the thing to do him the least good besides zombification and death."
"I hope we find him," Declan murmured. "I didn't realise that I missed him until I told you about him. Although, you do realise, if he comes back he'll inherit the estate and not me."
Victoria shrugged. "We can live without the money love. All we need is each other." She mumbled. "Actually, I think I need to go somewhere...alone..just for an hour or two. It might help finding him."
Declan frowned. "I want to come with you, Victoria," he told her. "What if it isn't safe? Something might happen and I wouldn't be there to help you."
"If I bring someone with me, it'll scare him off." Victoria told him. "He has a strict 'come alone' policy."
"Who is he?" Declan demanded, a hint of jealousy in his voice. "It sounds as if you've visited him before."
"Hey, relax!" Victoria sighed. "And don't get jealous, he's just a kid that got turned. He's never gonna be a threat to any man, trust me." She shook her head. "If anyone's going to know anything it'd be him. He knows how to find information like no other I know."
Declan didn't look pleased about it, but he conceded. "Fine, go," he sighed. "But be careful, alright? I don't want anything bad to happen to you."
Victoria kissed him. "Please...relax. I promise it'll be alright."
Declan let a breath out and smiled. "I suppose I could use the time to catch up with a few things I haven't been able to keep up to date with lately," he admitted. "You can be very distracting..."
Victoria giggled softly. "I know..." She murmured, kissing him again tenderly. "I love you Declan."
