Angie ignores his question as she peels out of the parking lot and away from the school and the town. She flicks on the radio and continues, turning onto a back road at one point that seems to go on forever.
Noah glances up for a second before a sigh escapes his lips. "Angie, come on. Tell me where we're going," He looks down at the paper, outlining three figures in a couple of minutes.
She shakes her head, trying to calm down completely before she opens her mouth again, not wanting to say something stupid. She pulls off the road onto a dirt path, shutting off the radio.
"You stopped. You stopped on some dirt path god knows where," He looked around and didn't see any buildings. "Can I know where we are now?"
She leans against the steering wheel, takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly. "I don't know. Were just... not in town and that's all I care about right now." She gets out of the car and walks up the path a little farther, she sits on a huge rock off to the side of the path and pulls her knees into her chest.
Noah follows her out to the rock, sitting down by it. He knows it's absolutey the wrong time to ask, and he should be focused on so many other things, but he needs to be working on something right now. He needs to do something with his hands. "Can I draw you right now?"
Angie looks at him for a brief second before laughing, "Have you ever asked before?" She smiles for a second, then looks down the her beat up combat boots, trying to sort out all her thoughts.
"Nah, I guess not," He got out a pencil and drew the boulder first, then started on her form. He filled out little details as he went along, like wrinkles in her boots that she was always wearing.
She brushes back a piece of hair that had come loose from her braid and bites her lip, the worst possible scenarios running through her mind. Noah doing drugs. Noah getting caught with a gun. Noah running a drug deal and so on. "Nothing will ever be the same..." she whispers mostly to herself.
(I have to go study for a bit, I will be back on later! :) In a few hours! )
Noah finished a penciled outline of Angie sitting on the rock. He got out his colors, filling in the grass and the sky. "Did you say something?"
Angie glances over at him and shakes her head. "Nothing important..." she looks up at the sky cursing the heavens for doing this to her, for putting her best friend in the worst situation she could have ever thunk.
When Noah glances up, Angie's head has moved again. "Try to hold still for few more minutes for me, ok? I'm almost done and I can't do it right if you keep moving," He did a sad attempt at a chuckle.
"Sorry. " she mutters hearing the horrible attempt at a laugh. She bites her lip again, when had she started relying on Noah so much to be there when she needed him? She feels her eyes starting to tear up and blinks a few times trying to stop before the tears flow freely.
Noah swallowed and put his supplies away, finished with the drawing. "It's finished, you can move now," He climbed up and sat nest to her on the rock, though there really wasn't much room.

Angie moves over a bit, making some more room for him. She looks at the ground, wiping away a tear that managed to escape.
