"Oh, haha! I bet you're sorry. You'll be super sorry when I trash the place," Noah muttered.

"Not cool." Nicole pouts, her pink gloss catching the light.
Angie's cell phone starts to ring and she digs it out of her pocket just in time, "Hello?" She asks hearing her brother voice on the other line. 'Where are you? You were supposed to pick me up.'
"Oh crap, right! Sorry I forgot! I'll be there in a few minutes." She hangs up and sighs. "I have to go pick up the little brother, you guys want to come hang out at my house or do you want me to drop you off at home?"

Angie's cellphone goes off and she digs it out of her pocket just in time. "Hello?" She asks and hears her little brothers voice on the other line. 'Where ae you? You were supposed to come pick me up fifteen minutes ago.'
"Oh, right! Sorry! I'll be there in five minutes." She hangs up and sighs. "I have to go pick up the little brother, you guys wanna come hang out at my house or do you want me to drop you off at home?"

"Your hpuse, if it's alright," Noah said, glancing at Nicole. "As long as Miss Pinchy isn't there,"

Nicole puts her hand to her mouth, "I am offended. Yet no need to worry, I have to babysit for my neighbours." she takes her car keys out of her pocket and stands up. "Wish me luck!" She picks up her bag and walks out the door with a small parting wave.
Angie gets up and takes the coffee cups, washing them quickly and putting them away. "It's alright with me." She waves to Nicole, "Good luck!" She calls to her as she leaves and walks back over to Noah. "Ready?"

"Yeah, sure. Which brother needed you this time?" Noah got his sketch book and walked over to the door, waving to Nicole.

Angie walks over to the door and locks up before going over to her car. "Logan. He was at his friends house and I forgot that he needed me to pick him up."

"Oh." Noah strached the back of his head as he walked over to her car. He fished a 5 dollar bill out of his pockets. "Before I forget, here's your tip."

Angie laughs, "Keep your cash, Noah. I don't think making fun of you is worthy of a tip." She gets in her car and starts the engine waiting for Noah to get in.

Noah climbs in, but holds out the money again. "You gave me a free muffin and cup of coffee. I think I can handle five dollars."

"How about this, you give it to my brother when he gets in the car so he'll shut up about me being late?" She pulls out of the parking lot and starts driving to Logan's friends place.

Noah sighed. "I don't know why you're so stubborn about it." He shoved his hands in his pockets, crumpling up the bill.

"When have I not been stubborn? I just don't like taking money from friends, you should know that by now." she nudges his arm a bit and pulls to the curb outside Logan's friends, she beeps the horn.
Logan runs outside and jumps into the back seat. "That's the second time you've forgotten about me this week..."
"I didn't foget, it just slipped my mind..."

"Hey, Logan. How have you been, dude?" Noah smiled, trying stop top the conversation before it began. "I have a present for you."

(Logan's gonna be around 13 years old.)
"Hey Noah! You know, same old, same old." He smiles back and clicks his seatbelt into place. "Cool, what is it?"
Angie presses down the gas and makes a U-turn, staying on the main street this time instead of taking the backroad like usual.

Noah pull the now wrinkled bill out of his pocket. "Early birthday present," Noah said, putting it into his hand.

"Cool, thanks!" Logan laughs and takes it from him.
Angie smirks and turns onto her street, pulling into the driveway she shuts off the car. "Alright, everybody out and lock your doors please." She smiles and hops out of the car and locks her door, grabbing her bag from the backseat and locking that door as well.
Logan gets out and locks his door, he runs to the front door and goes inside and to his room right away.

Noah got out and locked his door. He went inside the house, standing by the dorrway. He felt weird going much further inside without Angie.

Angie followed and locked the door behind them. "Come on." She walks past him and up the stairs, down the hall and to the last door. She goes into her light blue bedroom and drops her backpack on the wooden floor beside the wooden antique queen size bed.
